These roses are not only something for the "eye"! A delicious muffin variant, in which the children can help well. An apple is gutted and cut very thinly (e.g. with a bread cutting machine). The individual apple slices are then placed on a previously painted puff pastry stripe and rolled together. When baking then the "roshes" unfold and the small works of art are finished.

Relief in everyday life, targeted promotion of individual children, independent learning and - without any pre-knowledge already usable by the youngest!
Wash apples and stand out the core house with the core house remover. Keep the bowl on!
Cut the apple into thin slices with the bread cutting machine.
Be careful, perhaps an adult should help.
Dip the thin slices into a bowl of lemon water. (So the apples don't turn brown!)
Drain apple slices immediately on a plate.
Roll up the puff pastry roll.
Cut the dough into strips with a knife. First halve, then quarter and cut each quarter again into three strips (see picture!)
1 dough roll is enough for 12 muffins.
Sprinkle dough strips thinly with jam.
Sprinkle cinnamon+sugar mixture over the jam. (I filled this mixture into an empty spice glass, so it is easier for the children to handle.)
Place the apple ring slices overlapping on the first strip. (See picture) The apple slices are slightly above the puff pastry strip. Sprinkle them again with cinnamon+sugar mixture.
Then roll the dough strips loosely.
A "Rosé" emerges from the rolled-up strip
Sprinkle them again with cinnamon+sugar and place them in a muffin grove.
Preheat oven to 190 degrees hot air!
Place muffin sheet in the oven and bake for the first 15 minutes covered with an aluminium foil.
After 15 minutes remove the aluminium foil and bake for another 10 minutes - to the desired tan.
Remove muffins from the oven and let cool down a bit. By baking, the rose blossoms rise beautifully.
They can still be served warm with powdered sugar.
A cup of delicious cocoa or a bowl of vanilla ice cream or a warm vanilla sauce can be added as a dessert. However, you can also simply take it with you as a finger food for a picnic.
Pamper your loved ones with this treat.

Don't miss any more adventures: Our bottle mail
Dear Katzi, we would like to do this adventure. But unfortunately we don't have an apple dekerner and also no bread cutting machine. What would your alternatives be? Bzw. the apple roses also work with apple halves? Thank you in advance, Alice
Hello Elke, of course there is an alternative. You can simply make apple halves (half circles). Just make sure that the rounded sides look beyond the dough! When rolling together it may be a little heavier here, because the apple halves can slip more easily out of the dough strip! Children probably need help, but it works!
Instead of the bread cutting machine you can also use a vegetable planer. This should be able to plan fine slices!
Have fun trying and let me know how it worked.
Dear Katzi,
Thanks for the info. I'll try it and write it. Looks so delicious!
Dear Katzi,
The puff pastry roses have become great. The children were enthusiastic and warm they are so delicious.
Five stars from us!
