The slightly different potato! A great finger food for children. You can take this potato well in your hand. Also for grilling the spiral potato is suitable and it is easy to make.
You only need a large elongated potato, an aluminum skewer and a sharp knife!

Wash the potatoes thoroughly.
Stick a skewer through each potato in length.
Take a sharp knife and cut the potato in spiral shape with a continuous cut. To do this, turn the potato evenly when cutting. Cut up to the skewer.
The continuous spiral is now carefully pushed apart on the spear.
The spacing of the potato slices should be even.
All other potatoes are treated the same way.
Put two tablespoons of olive oil in a bowl.
Add salt, pepper and pepper and mix with the olive oil to create a thick marinade.
Apply this marinade with a brush on the potatoes. Brush the potatoes all around.
Place the potato skewers over the edges of a casserole. So "hang" the potatoes in the casserole. Place them in the oven.
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees above and under heat and bake the potato skewers for 30-40 minutes.
Always make a cooking sample with the knife and test whether the potatoes are soft!
Remove the finished potatoes from the oven and serve.
The spiral potatoes can also be placed on the grill!
Not only does it look nice, they taste very tasty and can be eaten well by the skewer! Try it yourself!

Very nice idea with great pictures
Dear Linda, I can only join you. We also tried these potatoes and are very excited. Thank you for your feedback on the pictures. They speak for themselves!
Have fun discovering more adventures. Cordially, Alice from the adventure market.
Just now I prepare oven potatoes in slices on the skewer, there comes the idea to cut them spirally, and to stick them on the skewer.See there: The idea already had another!
Only with the sharp knife there are difficulties: After the knife has come constantly on the metal skewer with the cutting edge, it is no longer sharp! Better to use a wood skewer! There are also in Bavaria Radi-Schneider, which cuts a radish in length in spirals. I try this next time.
Hello, how nice that you had the same idea. We hope the potatoes were very tasty. In our experience, children only manage to cut the potato with a sharp knife and so much pressure that the blade will become dull so far none of the children. The wooden skewers are a good alternative. There will be the challenge of not breaking them. Write gladly whether the radi slicer works. That could be a good way to make these delicious potato skewers easily. Warm greetings from the adventure market.
