We make small "Kastanien" for a picnic a finger food buffet or the next barbecue. Children can help with cutting and even watch when baking as dark brown "Kastanien" emerge from the light dough. They even look like real chestnuts!

Relief in everyday life, targeted promotion of individual children, independent learning and - without any pre-knowledge already usable by the youngest!
Place lye biscuits for thawing on a baking tray (approx. 15 min.).
After thawing, cut the lugs with a knife into pieces of the same size.
Put the cutting edge up on a baking tray.
Press the dough piece with your fingers a bit flat. Not that it becomes an elongated "kastanie"?!
Push into the oven at 180 degrees for about 6- 8 minutes.
Check again and again whether they already have the desired color (Castania brown!)
Remove ready laut chestnuts from the oven and allow to cool briefly.
