For small children, time is not yet a term they can start with. "How long does it take until...?" or "When does it finally come...?" or "How often do I have to sleep until...?" How often do we parents hear these questions?
To illustrate the time of waiting for the children, I made this waiting-time bar.
It is used in a variety of ways. For example, when waiting for a upcoming football game, the start of the holiday, the tingling anticipation of the birthday, when waiting for a celebration, such as the lantern festival, Easter or Christmas.
I only made this bar with 24 days to use it for the Advent season. Moreover, hardly a child can cover the period until the day of joy months before. Therefore, long 24 days for us. But you can also make a bar with 31 days! This is especially ideal if the birthday of the child is one day after the 24th day of the month!
Media Education for Kindergarten and Hort
Relief in everyday life, targeted promotion of individual children, independent learning and - without any pre-knowledge already usable by the youngest!
You need a wooden strip with 3cm x 3cm. Our wooden strip with 24 holes is 39cm long. You can make the length dependent on your number of holes.
Now draw on the holes:
Start with marking the first hole about 3cm from the edge. Also the last hole in the row should have 3cm distance to the edge.
Use a drill in the strength of your wire.
With a stand drill you can drill exactly evenly deep holes, which all become straight. In addition, you have both hands free to hold the wood.
You can also work with the cordless screwdriver and a wood drill.
Try to see if the wire fits into your holes!
When all holes are drilled, you erase the strokes from marking.
Now take a sandpaper and grind the wood smoothly.
Tip: with the sanding paper sponge it is particularly good. You can also place the sanding paper around a piece of wood and sand with it.
Do not forget the edges of the wood. Always grind into the fiber direction of the wood, otherwise scratch your wood.
Then write the numbers on the bar. Arrange them in height, otherwise you have to write the numbers very small.
For painting you can also use a number template, but you can also paint it freely.
The bar is ready.
What are you going to use them for?
I've added some use ideas.
For waiting for the Easter bunny!
For waiting for an upcoming football game!
For the start of your holiday!
For the start of the trip to France!
Here the lantern move can hardly be expected!
The visit of St. Nicholas is a great event!
Here is the joy of returning home from the hospital!
Can't you wait till there's presents?
Or are you looking forward to the Christ Child?
Waiting for your own birthday can also take a long time!
Stay creative!
Have fun!
Every day the eventful day moves a little closer!?
