AdventurerEagleChildren love to help with baking. Small children can also help with baking cookies. Suitable for a rainy early summer day, we baked fresh lemon rosemary cookies as small clouds. Lemon and rosemary smell wonderful and are a great combination.
The children wash their hands and put on their aprons.
Pick the leaves of rosemary from the stem and then chop finely with the knife.
Let the children consciously smell of rosemary and describe what they smell and how it feels.
Wash the lemon and rub the peel.
The children are allowed to taste a little bit of abrasion.
Weigh all other ingredients and put in a bowl.
Knead everything to one dough. This can be done with the kitchen machine or with the hands. Place the finished dough in the fridge for two hours.
Roll out the dough. The dough is difficult to roll out, since it is very hard and then becomes very soft very quickly. Therefore, it is processed quickly and in small portions.
Cut out cookies and place on baking tray with baking paper.
Bake to 180 degrees of top and bottom heat for about 10 minutes. Do not brown the biscuits.
Then let cool and enjoy - or give away.
Tip: If you put another branch of rosemary in the cookie jar, the delicious scent of rosemary and lemon will flow towards you when you open it.
