AdventurerKatziA table light from an empty masonry glass and newspaper, puffed up with a few stars.
With little material you achieve a great effect here. Try it out yourself.
Put out the craft pad and stir the wallpaper paste in a glass.
The paste must then thicken something.
During this time, pick up old newspaper. Select only described pages. I.e. no advertising brochures and no colored pages.
Then the newspaper breaks into small snippets.
Now take the empty mason jar and unscrew the lid.
Place the glass on the upside-down lid. So it cannot roll away. Now spread the glass about 2/3 high and all around with paste.
Take the brush for it.
She then sticks the snippets of newsprint to her.
After that you brush paste again over the snippets.
Then put the finished glass to dry.
Once the newspaper is dried, you can decorate it.
I used scatter decorations stars. You can also paint and cut stars or punch them out with a star-stanzer stars.
Stick the stars on the newspaper.
Then tear a long thin strip of newspaper. Turn it to a thin strand, which you put around the glass edge. Then tie it carefully.
Press the newspaper strip a little bit in shape.
Let her hang the overhanging newspaper strips as ribbons. Well the newspaper by pulling the paper strips over the blade of scissors. (Let an adult help you with this!)
That's what the newspaper strips look like!
Now glues a few stars on the ringed stripes.
Here I put the glass on a small concrete coaster and added a few stars. With a tea light the table lamp is complete.
Also on the window sill the lantern comes out nicely!
