This mini pumpkin is actually a mandarin. For children it is fascinating to see how a mandarin with a few handles creates a small luminous pumpkin.
The fruit of the mandarins must first be released from the shell. For this, some skill is grasped, if necessary, you can let an adult help you. How this can be done is described step by step here.
A pumpkin face is then painted on the empty bowl and cut out with a fingernail scissors. Afterwards you embellish the edge with tacks and the small pumpkin is finished.
With a tealight, the pumpkin shines beautifully creepy.
Not only for carnival or Halloween you can make the Mandarin pumpkin, he is also a nice idea to annimate children to eat fruit. That's so much more fun.

First you need a cutting board and a knife.
Put the mandarin with the flower up on your cutting board.
Then cut off a small lid. Make sure you don't cut the mandarin under it.
Put the lid aside and gently remove the mandarin from the shell with your fingers. To do this, gently pluck off the white skin with your fingers.
Now you need a teaspoon. Turn the teaspoon upwards with the bulbous side and carefully push it between the mandarin and the bowl. Also make sure that you do not hurt the pieces of fruit. Otherwise, the juice runs out and the mandarin becomes muddy. Move the teaspoon gently deeper and deeper between the bowl and the fruit. Make sure that you do not tear the bowl in.
If the flesh is well removed from the skin, gently lift the mandarin out of the skin. Now look at this, on the next side.
For this you put the teaspoon between the fruit and the bowl and gently push the whole fruit up with the teaspoon. Be very careful so that the bowl does not tear in.
If the mandarin is out of the bowl, you can eat it. Now you can carve a little pumpkin out of the bowl. I'll show you how to do it on the next page.
Now paint a pumpkin face on the bowl with a felt pen. What should your pumpkin look like? Two eyes, one mouth, what does your pumpkin look like?

Take the bowl in your hand and punch through your eyes with scissors. It's not easy, but you can do it. Press the inside of the bowl with your fingers so that it doesn't tear in. Then cut out your face.
Make sure you don't sting or cut.
When you're done with it, your little mandarin pumpkin might look like this.
Decorates the upper edge of the shell with small spikes.
Cut small slanted pieces out of the edge. These can be tiny or larger as you like it.
Then remove all the snippets.
Then put in an electric tea light (LED light). So you can let the pumpkin shine.
