On a sunny autumn day, on which the leaves are already lying on the ground and dry, then it is a perfect time to build a hedgehog shelter.
Take the leaching and quite a large pile of leaves together. The heap should be at the edge of the garden in a protected place. Hedgehogs feel more comfortable and safer in a protected place than in the middle of a garden.
Then you tear up the garbage bag on one side and on the ground. So you get a large area.
Put the bag over the pile of leaves.
Complains the bag at the corners with stones.
The foliage must be dry, otherwise it will mold under the plastic of the bag. However, the bag keeps the moisture off, and thus creates a comfortable and dry winter quarters for the hedgehog.
Then you put branches on the bag so that it is not carried away by the wind. Arrange the branches star-shaped and leave a large opening on one side so that the hedgehog can find well in it.
Once again you lay a lot of foliage over the branches. So you cover the dwelling.
You can cover the hedgehog shelter completely with leaves. So the shelter looks like a large pile of leaves.
