From empty cans you can make a beautiful Advent calendar! Start collecting in time or ask friends and grandparents for cans. The reuse of waste material is definitely sustainable.
Make 24 snowmen with your children and stick them on the tin cans. You then take the filling. So you have a nice little adventure with your children. And if you don't have so many cans to hand, I have some tips for you.
Look for yourself!
Media Education for Kindergarten and Hort
Relief in everyday life, targeted promotion of individual children, independent learning and - without any pre-knowledge already usable by the youngest!
Opens the cans with a can opener that rounds off the edge of the can - so there is no risk of injury!
Wash out the empty cans and remove the labels.
Print the template for the snowmen and cut it out or paint it for yourself.
Per snowman you need:
2 large circles of white paper,
the shape of a carrot of orange or red paper,
4 small circles of black paper and
a hat made of colorful paper.
Tip: take clay paper, it is easier to cut than clay board.
Underlay a craft document, paint the templates and cut out the individual parts. Then stick them together (see picture).
Crafts a total of 24 snowmen.
Then you put the snowmen on the tin cans.
You can make different sizes of snowmen and also use different cans. Adjust the size of the snowmen to the size of your cans.
Place the cans as an Advent calendar on a shelf or at the edge of a staircase. Add a chain of lights or some cotton wool and your Advent calendar is ready.
Now you can fill the cans just before the first Advent.
Tip: If you don't have any cans at your disposal, the snowmen stick to bread-time bags and fill them.
Alternatively, you can also glue the snowmen on cardboard cups.
Stay flexible and use what you have at home.
