Relief in everyday life, targeted promotion of individual children, independent learning and - without any pre-knowledge already usable by the youngest!
Collect material and hide the sponges in a pillow cover. The children are not allowed to see this.
1. Game idea: sponge-feeling
The children long with their hand in the pillowcase and feel. What's in it? How does it feel? Are all objects the same? With several children one child after another can feel and let tell.
2. Game idea: What can a sponge be used for?
Each child gets a sponge. We search together for possibilities and then execute each:
e.g. for scrubbing. We rub off each other's body
e.g. for carrying on the hand. Everyone wears the sponge one piece
e.g. for balancing on the head. Everyone wears the sponge on the head
e.g. to jump over. We hop over the sponges... and so on
3. Game idea: sponge throw
Marks a starting line. The children stand behind the starting line and try to throw the sponges as far as possible.
4. Game idea: Build sponge tower
Alternately, we put one sponge on top of another and build such a tower. When does it collapse? Alternatively, every child can build his tower. Who creates the highest?
5. Game idea: Create color pattern
You or a child will present a color pattern, the others will follow it up. In doing so, you can look at the speed or on who will present a particularly beautiful pattern or who will choose which colors. This game offers the possibility to talk about colors and shapes and also about what the children put and what they like.
6. Game idea: sponge cover
Place as many sponges as possible over the child's face. Then the child should shake strongly, so that all sponges are pelted down. Then the children are allowed to choose a different body area, it is then covered and with a shake all sponges are down again.
7. Game idea: sponge battle
Everyone throw sponges at each other, even in a turbulent battle, no one gets hurt.
8th Game Idea: Sponge Chicks
Make a starting line and a finish line. From the starting line, each child kicks as many sponges as possible over the finish line alternately with the foot. If you assign the sponges to a child in color, then you can also make a competition out of them. Whoever has kicked most sponges behind the finish line has won. Attention: not all children like the competition. Some children prefer to play simply. Always pay attention to this and find a balance between the children and the offers.
9. Game idea: sponge hops
Place the sponges on the ground and hop over the sponges. The distance should not be too large. The sponges can be distributed as desired or sorted into small units as shown in the picture. Small children can hop with both legs, larger ones can also be placed on one leg.
10th Game Idea: Sponge Run
Take a large salad spoon and balance the sponge from the starting line to the finish line. The sponge should not fall down.
At a child's birthday party, you can also make a relay run out of it. For this you split into two teams. From each team a runner starts on a signal and balances on the spoon the sponge from the starting line into the finish line and back. Then the next child from the respective team is on the turn. The sponge must not fall down. The team, which has lost the least sponges and was fastest, wins.
Have fun!
