1.4 thousand times & (2) Baking Martins-Weck - rolls for Saint MartinBy KitaForstWe always bake Martins-Wicken on Martinstag. This old tradition is just as popular with young children as with older children. The rolls are made of quark oil dough, because they become very loose and fluffy, are not crumbly and let themselves be wonderfully shared. - and this also by children's hand. Besides, a quark oil dough bun tastes even without "covering" and is not dry at all. Due to the simple way it is not difficult to make successful rolls, which all look very tasty. See for themselves how easy this is to do. Children have joy in sharing and joy of being "gifted" and this gesture is just lived and passed on by Saint Martin.
2.4 thousand times & (1) Easter nest of egg box and newsprint (upcyclen)By KitaForstThis Easter nest is made entirely of materials, which are named after the actual intended use, but also - as can be seen here - wonderfully suitable for upcycling. Empty egg boxes are also to be found in almost every household, like daily newspapers or advertising brochures. The egg box is used completely and only has to be changed with a few handles and a scissors. This is very good to see in this guide. The blank of the Easter nest is made entirely from the empty egg box. To fill you can then either use fresh moss, straw or hay. An alternative can be found here. Use old newspapers or brochures (here the nest will be beautifully colorful!). These can be "runned" by a paper shredder and get thin paper strips. These slightly pinched, are ideal for filling your egg box nest. Even cut thin paper strips can be used if you don't have a shredder to your hand. Much fun while trying out.
2.9 thousand times & (5) Torch – lantern making – torch makingBy KatziThis torch lantern is something for school children who no longer want to take part in the Martin parade with a children's lantern. This upcycle project is also super suitable for a night hike or a torch hike on a child's birthday party. Only an empty plastic bottle with a bulbous bottle neck and a branch that fits into the bottle opening is needed. With the help of the marble technique the color is distributed in the bottle and thus ensures an individual appearance. The individual steps are explained well here, see for yourself. Have fun!
