Collect wooden sticks. Woods with a smooth surface are suitable.
The branches must be dry and clean. If necessary peel off the bark or scrub cleanly (e.g. in the bathtub or outdoors in a wash basin). Then put to dry.
Paint with acrylic paint or crayons according to your own idea.
With acrylic paint, the colors shine more, but crayons are very easy to handle especially for small children and also deliver beautiful results.
The acrylic paint can be sealed with clear varnish.
The crayons can be rubbed with a cloth, creating a shine.
Finally, use the painted sticks as a garden decoration or for playing.
