With this mobile, there are no limits to creativity. All you need is a branch where you hang pearls, feathers, buttons and other things with a wool thread.
Those who are already trained in knots use a wool thread for this. Younger children use a flower wire to thread up. Check out the instructions and have a lot of fun trying out!
Media Education for Kindergarten and Hort
Relief in everyday life, targeted promotion of individual children, independent learning and - without any pre-knowledge already usable by the youngest!
You can use both self-made beads (e.g. from self-drying clay) and wood beads.
First, prepare all the materials for your mobile.
Tip: Surely you also have ideas about what you could use for it.
Then you place the material in rows (mobile strands) in front of you. Try out what you like best in which combination.
Then thread a 40cm wool thread into the needle eye of a blunt needle.
Now you thread the first pearl and knot the thread with the pearl.
Then thread a button. Leave some distance to the pearl (approx. 6 cm).
To position the button in the desired position, thread the needle through the other hole in the button.
The button is fixed.
Open another pearl.
You hold the pearl about 6cm from the button together with the thread.
Put the needle through the pearl again.
If the thread pulls firmly to the pearl, it is fixed.
Now put the remaining piece of the thread together to form a loop, which you then knot.
For this you form a loop in the length 6-8 cm. Then you put the end of the thread through the loop. After that you tighten the knot thus created. The small loop uses it later to put it over the branch.
Now you put the feathers in the pearls.
The feathers push her a piece into the pearl or you push her through the pearl up to half.
There's a mobile line ready.
Now create further strands in different lengths and with different order and/or material.
Then you hang the individual mobile strands on the loops over a branch.
Your mobile is ready!
Tip: Hang a bottle light chain to the branch and light up your mobile.
Have fun doing crafts!
