In this experiment, gummy bears become ghosts. Children and their eyes are astonished. Although it is especially difficult for small children not to snatch the gummy bears, but when it comes to enchanting gummy bears into small spirits, they are curious about it.
An illustrated guide with our observations can be found afterwards.
Have fun experimenting!
Media Education for Kindergarten and Hort
Relief in everyday life, targeted promotion of individual children, independent learning and - without any pre-knowledge already usable by the youngest!
Fill a glass of 2/3 with water.
Tip: use a glass without a print, grooves or similar, because then you can better observe what happens.
Then put a 3-4 gummy bears in the water. Leave a few gummy bears next to the water glass for comparison.
1. Observation point: the gummy bears sink to the glass floor and remain there.
Let the glass with the gummy bears stand for one to two hours and see what happens to the gummy bears.
You can take photos of the stadiums. Comparison photos allow the children to show the experiment later on, for example, the grandparents!
2nd observation point: after about 2 hours small air bubbles form on the gummy bears.
The gummy bears are already looking a little swollen.
Ask an adult if he'll help you get back to the adventure tomorrow.
3. Observation point: after a day they slowly become transparent. All around stick still small bubbles.
Here you can see the development of the gummy bears in the water in comparison. Just like the red gummy bears, the slightly pink gummy bears also looked at the beginning of the experiment!
If you stir the water around with the gummy bears, the air bubbles disappear and the gummy bears shimmer transparently.
Now you have to look exactly where the gummy bears are!
That's how little gummy-bear ghosts come into being.
Have fun trying out. Stay curious!
