At our bird's drink in the garden we keep watching that bees also take a seat and drink. This gave us the idea to build a small drinking place for bees, bumblebees and other small insects. This doesn't have to be big. You can just place them between your flowers and shrubs. With a branch and a few larger shells - alternatively also screw caps of bottles - this insect drink is fast made.

First you need some mussels.
Then you'll find a branch.
Now test the mussels on the branch. So you can see what your bee drinks might look like.
Search for the mussels places on forks, knobs or branch eyes.
How many mussels do you want to use?
Don't put any mussels in the lower range, because this is where the branch ends up later on.
Attaches the mussels so that the hollow is open to the top. Thus, the rainwater can collect in the shell. Thus, the insects have the possibility to drink from these small bowls.
Now you attach the mussels with the hot glue to the branch. Attention: When handling the hot glue there is a risk of injury! Let an adult help you with this!
Now choose a place in the garden or on the balcony. Choose a place where the mussels can fill with rain, because this is how the shells of your bees fill up in every rain.
If it doesn't rain a lot, you will make sure that there is always some water in the shells.
