The real chamomile is the camomile species that we seek and collect. Since there are many different types of chamomile, it is important that you take care to pick the real chamomile, because only it has many healing effects. The real chamomile smells wonderfully of chamomile, it looks like a daisy too big, but leaves the white flowers hanging down and the inner flower basket is hollow. <\/p>\n

This grows on fields, at the edges of the path, on meadows and on walls. Make sure that the meadows are not splashed and that you do not harvest the chamomile on a busy road. <\/p>\n

The camomile is harvested in June\/July. But on a sunny day around noon the camomile flowers are picked.
\nAt noon, the flowers have the largest content of essential oils, which is why this is the best time to harvest. Do not wash the chamomile, but dry immediately after harvesting. <\/p>\n

You can just pick the flower heads and put them on a newspaper to dry. Select a dark and dry place for this. <\/p>\n

Or you pick small bouquets and hang them upside down for drying. To do so, choose a dark and dry place. <\/p>\n

When the flowers are dried, the flower heads fall apart when moving. You can then fill them in an airtight vessel and keep them dark. The chamomile flowers can be used for about 1 year.<\/p>\n

The first tea of self-gathered chamomile blossoms is something special. Camomile tea helps with colds and stomach problems. For this, pour two teaspoons of dried flowers with 250 ml of boiling water and let them draw for 5-10 minutes.
\nCooled chamomile tea is also suitable for padding abrasions to avoid infections.
