We are busy with birds especially in winter. Children like to feed and watch them. So many children have fun making birds. A unique possibility is the crafting of a bird from a wooden disc.
All you need for that are a few feathers, a pointed beak and thin legs.

Small cheeky raven (made of cardboard roll)

This small cheeky raven is crafted from a piece of a cardboard roll. It is glued with a strip of black clay paper and decorated with feet and beak of yellow clay paper. 2 wobble eyes give the raven as much liveliness as a black tail feather that protrudes over the head. This creates a small cheeky raven that invites you to play.

Penguin making out of a cardboard roll

For the little fluttering penguin you only need a cardboard roll, which glues it with black paper. A white paper for the belly, an orange beak, two wobble eyes and two wings, which rings and sticks to the outside and it is ready, the small cardboard roll penguin.

You don't have black clay paper? No problem. Alternatively, you can paint the paper roll in black.

Penguin from a paper circle

This penguin has been created from a paper circle. Alternatively, you can use a cardboard plate. Fold the two opposite sides so that you get into a tip. Then you open the fold again and paint the back with black paint. After drying, you fold both wings back inwards. Now you fold the resulting tip a piece down and fix it with glue. Then you stick the beak on the top. Two wobble eyes and two small feet to it and the penguin is finished. Enjoy crafting, painting and gluing!

Flying penguin

You can hang this special penguin on a branch and you can play with it like a puppet.

The penguin's body consists of a solid plastic cup (e.g. an empty 200g cream cup), which is glued to a white paper banderole.
Made of black clay paper, the wings and back are quickly made. The beak and feet are made of orange clay paper.

Little sock penguin

This sock penguin was born from an old sock. A sock that eventually remained as a loner. Filled with rice, it forms the body of the penguin. All other parts such as eyes, beak, belly, wings and feet are printed out as a template or painted on you. Afterwards, you stick the individual parts accordingly to the body. The little sock penguin is suitable for playing, but also as a gift or for decorating.
