You certainly know maple seeds from your childhood as the "Nasenzwicker"! The maple seeds do not lose their appeal to children even in a technology-centered time. For our children, the close-to-the-skin experience with the finds from nature belongs to the examination of our environment.
Have fun "sticking" the maple seeds on your nose and running around as a "Nashorn". If you don't dare to do this, you can first let the nose twitcher stick on your index finger. Or did you ever become Mr Spock? Then it's a funny idea to stick your ears with the nose twitches! But don't forget the look in the mirror! Look inside!

Break the maple seeds apart.
At the "broken spot" the maple seed has a thick spot and you can break it apart with the fingernail (or, if necessary, a small knife). This is how the nose wings are created! The slightly sticky inside of the maple seed holds as a nose twitch!
Fold the split wings a bit apart and stick to the nose.

As a first contact with the seeds, it is really recommended to stick the nose twitch on a finger, for some children this is a completely new experience and not every child can stick something in the face!!
Give the child the chance to become friends with this strange part (acorn seeds)! Let it play with it, maybe it wants to watch in front of a mirror, if you first stick the maple seeds on your nose?
A funny idea is also the attachment to the ear!
Either at the earlobes as "earring" or at the upper edge of the ears, it's either elves or fairy ears or Mr. Spock's ears!
