For us vanilla kipferl belong to Christmas. Older children can form the kipferl with their hands and smaller children can simply cut out the kipferl. For this are suitable e.g. small moons or a glass. Many children have fun baking, so let them help in the Christmas bakery.

First wash your hands and put on an apron and then you can get started.
Weigh all the ingredients and put them in a bowl.
Then you make all the ingredients into a clove.
Tip: Children also like to knead with their hands. So let them knead the ingredients themselves to a dough.
The finished dough is cooled for 20 to 30 minutes (fridge or balcony).
Cut off a piece of the dough and roll a long snake from it. Cut the dough roll into even pieces.
Now you take one of the small pieces and roll it into a thin roll in your hands or on a base. The outsides are thinner than the middle part of the roll.
Then you bend this roll to a kipferl and put it on a sheet with baking foil.
Bake the kipferl 10 minutes at 180 degrees hot air (preheat!).
Prepare a mixture of powdered sugar and vanilla sugar in the meantime.
Leave the kipferl on the sheet and pollinate WARM with the mixture of powdered sugar and vanilla sugar.
Let the kibbles cool on the sheet.
Then put it in a cookie can so that it does not dry out.
Roll out the dough thinly with a noodle wood and chop out small moons.
Tip: You don't have a moon cutter? Then just take a small glass and use it to cut out half-circles. First cut out a circle and then place the glass in the dough directly behind it.
Place the moons on a sheet with baking foil.
Bake it at 180 degrees hot air for about 8-10 minutes.
Prepare a mixture of powdered sugar and vanilla sugar in the meantime.
Leave the kipferl on the sheet and pollinate WARM with the mixture of powdered sugar and vanilla sugar.
Let cool on the sheet, because they are warm very fragile.
Keep them in a placepan until they're eaten.
