On the meadows everything grows now in abundance - also the Spitzwegerich.
From the Spitzwegerich we produce an emergency spray for sunburn, insect bites and small injuries.
What you need for this is a handful of Spitzwegenrich, essential lavender oil and olive or almond oil.
In addition, two vessels, a cutting board, a knife, funnel, pen, a sticker for marking, sieve or coffee filter and a spray bottle.
Tip: Spray bottles are available in pharmacies. Alternatively, empty cosmetic bottles are also suitable.
First you collect a handful of Spitzwegerich.
Tip: Look in a book if you are not sure about the plants, for example, what is blooming or uses a wild herbs app, such as PlantNet, Flora Incognita or Naturblick.
At home you prepare the materials. You need:
A jam jar, cutting board, knife, olive oil or almond oil, essential oil lavender, funnel, a vessel, coffee filter or sieve, pen and a sticker.
Now you cut the Spitzwegrich small.
Then fill it in the jam jar.
Then pour everything with olive oil.
It must be covered with oil.
Now close the jam jar and place it on the window sill for 2-3 weeks.
Shake it again and again during this time.
Now you can filter the oil.
And put it in the bottles with a funnel.
Now you drip 5-10 drops of essential oil into a bottle.
Then you can still label the bottle.
Now your emergency spray is ready and you can use it for sunburn, burning on the ash, insect bite, small injuries.
