A simple lantern, which is made very quickly with a large punching punch. An empty plastic bottle serves as a blank. On butterbread paper the punched or cut out circles are glued as desired and glued as banderole around the plastic bottle. With a small light chain or electric lantern rod the lantern is quickly ready for use. Have fun!
First, the lantern blank is made.
For this you shorten the bottle to the desired size. At least you should cut off the bottle neck.
Then you punch two holes from the opposite sides. Thus you thread the wire that serves to hang the lantern. Rotate the ends of the wire so that it holds.
Now you cut out circles of clay paper. Alternatively you cut them with scissors. I have chosen colors in the earth tones. You can also make a lantern in blue tones, then the circles could be air bubbles or soap bubbles.
Then cut a butterbread paper in the height and circumference of the bottle. On the butterbread paper you order the large circles.
The small circles cook her with the holer still small holes.
Then you place the small circles between the large circles.
Now you put all the circles on the butterbread paper.
Then put the banderoles around the bottle blank and stick to the butterbread paper.
Now add a chain of lights or an electric tealight. The lantern is ready.
This small lantern is also suitable as a table light or as a decoration on the window.
Due to the earth colours, the lantern looks very noble.
Tip: If you arrange the perforated holes on the circles very evenly, then the circles look like buttons. Then you have a button lantern.
