Many things can be made out of old advertising brochures, magazines, catalogues. Cutting and gluing makes many children happy and there are no limits to creativity.
The children cut the waste paper into narrow strips.
Print the template (see template in comment) or paint a motif on a paper.
Stick on strips of length so that no piece of paper can be seen.
The stripes can protrude beyond the motif.
Finally, the duck is cut out.
For smaller children it is often not yet possible to cut strips, then it becomes rather larger shapes - see the comparison.
These small works of art are also great for giving away e.g. for the grandparents.
