We are looking for dandelion blossoms that look like in the picture! They still have to be closed, but have a white bonnet! We prefer a flower with as thick a stem as possible.
Now we need a toothpick or a scraper per flower.
The stem of the dandelion is hollow inside! We now push the wooden stick from the bottom into the stem up to the flower! If it is not pushed up to high, the flower knocks off when drying!
We put our spitted flowers in a TROCKEN sponge!!! To dry! And watch what happens....
Already after 20 minutes in the warm room by the window, the first blow flower opens
After another 20 minutes...
And again 20 minutes later! The first blow flower has completely risen! And with the others you can already see an opening of the buds...
After a day!?
Attention: If the dandelion is larger and the stem is longer and thicker, the experiment can also take 2 or 3 days! In the sun and in a warm place, the process can be accelerated.
Get yourself a still unexpanded blow flower into the room and watch for yourself...
Have fun with it!
You don't always have to blow a flower away!?You can also use this flower as a table deco! Or just put it in a vase (but without water!).
