The children pluck the currants from the stems. Each currant should be plucked and placed on a plate.
The children then place the individual berries individually in a plate or in a bowl of water.
After that, they can fish out the berries individually again. For small children, this is an occupation where they concentrate very much.
Larger children can try to fish out the currants with a straw. Carefully place the straw on the individual berry, pull up the air, hold it and transport the berry onto the other plate. This is not so easy and requires a lot of touch. Try it out!
